First week of February. As typical in February, I was out in the cold. I’m not a big fan of cold weather but am definitely getting used to it.

This week, I had a conversation with my father and his wife about some family issues. I was able to talk through some misunderstandings they had from a long time ago and also talked about some new issues.

Secondly, while reading a post from a friend on Facebook about the confederate flag, he commented that the State of Maryland has parts of the confederate flag in the design. But, while that might at first seem to sponsor the confederate beliefs, the design seems to have been put together with parts of the flag from both the north and south. It is a design of unity and the coming together of the two sides.

Third, I posted some questions on Quora and am working through some of those questions to dive deeper. One question was about the recent confusion about the new mutations of the coronavirus. The press has been using different terms to describe them. The mutations should be called variants.

I grew up in Baltimore and currently live in the Rodgers Forge community just north of Baltimore City.
